Women’s Forum Singapore 2018 - Bridging worlds for inclusive innovation [fr]
The first ever Women’s Forum Singapore will take place from 12 to 14 September 2018 at the Raffles City Convention Centre. Singapore is a nation that bridges ideas, dialogues and cultures from across the region and around the globe. Under the theme of Bridging worlds for inclusive innovation and in the frame of the France-Singapore Year of Innovation, this meeting will bring together more than 1000 leaders and high-potential talents from business, government, civil society, academic to explore best practices and solutions to strengthen women’s leadership and create impact.
The ten nations of Asean together make up the world’s seventh-largest economy, and include some of the fastest-growing economies in the world. However, the region faces the headwinds of rising geopolitical challenges, climate change and environmental degradation, and job disruption from automation, AI and other technologies.
Women across Asia-Pacific can provide the innovative views, perspectives and daring leadership needed to address today’s challenges and envision a more sustainable, equitable and inclusive future. Women’s leadership is key not only to increasing gender equality but also to unlocking Asia’s tremendous economic and technological potential.
French Ambassador Marc Abensour will be one of the speaker at the first panel titled "Reimagining the ASEAN Future in a Disrupted World" on 12th September from 1.50pm to 2.45pm, together with MCCY and MCI’s Senior Minister of State Sim Ann, Jobbatical CEO and co-founder Karoli Hindriks and Banyan Tree Holdings Executive Chairman Kwo Ping Ho.
