The business community in Singapore mobilized during the 5th Grand Prix VIE!
The 5th edition of Grand Prix VIE of Singapore, which was held on September 14, brought together for the first time both the French business community in the City-State (Foreign Trade Advisors, Chamber of Commerce, VIE Club, Embassy and for the first time the public investment Bank Bpifrance) and promising French companies which came to explore the potential of the Singapore market. All were gathered around Business France, with the dual objective of honoring the most deserving VIE (International Volunteers in Business) as well as promoting the program.
With over 30 applications received, 14 candidates selected for oral test and in total six winners were divided between major companies and SMEs categories, which received numerous awards and gifts (thanks to our partners, Air France and eOasia). One can say that the competition was intense and fruitful (see the list of winners below). It ended with a very nice evening for the award ceremony, organized by the Ambassador of France, which helped to better communicate the process and its benefits.
Our guest of honor this year, Ms. Muriel Pénicaud, CEO of Business France and delegate Ambassador for International Investment, reminded all on this occasion of the growing success of the program in Singapore, with an average of 260 young people in VIE; a figure placing the city-state in 7th place for the most popular destinations in the world, but in 1st place in terms of the number of VIE per km² and per person!
