10 April 2018 - Paris Saint-Germain is continuing its international development by creating its first overseas office in Singapore to reinforce the brand’s presence in Asia.
With this permanent base on the Asian continent, Paris Saint-Germain hopes to increase the brand’s visibility, cultivate new partnerships and nurture its growing fan base, which has blossomed in Asia over the last few years.
The office will be managed by Sébastien Wasels, who had been International Development Manager at the Club since 2009.
Frédéric Longuépée, Deputy Managing Director in charge of business activities at Paris Saint-Germain, announced:
“In 2011, our President set us the task of transforming Paris Saint-Germain into a great international sports brand. Opening offices in strategic territories was identified as an important part of the Club’s development. Asia is a zone that holds great potential for the Club. We are delighted to open our first international office on the Asian continent, with the aim of bringing the Club as close as possible to an audience that is becoming more and more interested in football and its opportunities.”
The Club will soon release details about other ambitious projects that will rapidly increase its presence and visibility on the Asian continent.
To date, more than 17 million Asian fans follow PSG news on social media, including 5 million in Indonesia and 1.3 million on Chinese social media channels.
