Gathering of remembrance for the victims of terrorist attacks

Initiated by Imam Hassan al-Attas from Ba’Alwie mosque, a gathering of 50 religious organisations representing all 10 faiths present in Singapore, in the presence of HE Benjamin Dubertret, French Ambassador to Singapore, was held on November 29 to honor the memory of the victims of all recent terrorist attacks, especially those in Paris, and affirm their rejection of radicalism and of violence in the name of religion. As guest of honor for this event, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and for Defense, Dr. Maliki bin Osman, expressed the support of the Singaporean government to France in its fight against terrorism and against religious extremism.
