French Lunch in a Food Court with Food Blogger Leslie Tay [fr]

On Thursday 19 May, French Ambassador Dubertret had lunch with Singaporean food blogger Leslie Tay in a food court where two Singaporean chefs have decided to set up ’Garçons’, a French cuisine stall with affordable prices.

Located in a food court at 1 Cantonment Road just next to Pinnacle@Duxton HDB, ’Garçons’ offers a wide variety of French food including escargots (snails), charcuterie (cold-cuts), foie gras and confit de canard (duck confit). The two chefs, Immanuel Tee and Enoch Teo have teamed up to open this stall last November.

Singaporean food blogger Leslie Tay joined French Ambassador Dubertret for a lunch at Garçons. Dr Leslie Tay has spent almost a decade roaming around Singapore in search of the best hawker food and then publishing his mouth watering pictures and stories on his food blog.

Ambassador Dubertret and Dr Tay both praised this initiative that makes French food more accessible and affordable, bringing more visibility to French cuisine.
