French Infrastructure Excellence Trade Mission in Singapore
The French Public Investment Bank, Bpifrance and the French bank Société Générale have joined their effort to promote the French industry in Singapore. Powered by Business France, the Trade Commission of the French Embassy in Singapore, 16 companies specialised in the field of infrastructures, representative of the “French excellence” in various sectors such as railway, industrial equipment, and energy efficiency, have been carefully selected to embark on this challenge.
During this 2 day trade mission, various workshops were organised giving the companies practical advice on how to do business in Singapore, from cultural differences, digital strategy, economic environment to leveraging on entrepreneurial testimonies. The second step consisted in meeting with key infrastructure players, with more than 80 B to B meetings.
This initiative aims to maximize the chances of success promoting the French know-how in this region, capitalizing on previous international experiences. The companies were supported by the Foreign Trade Advisors of France, which are experienced businessmen who have already succeeded in Singapore. This innovative approach directly benefits the newcomers, giving them a deeper understanding of the local business environment.
Even though the mission has just come to an end, the first results are already promising, demonstrating the strong potential and value-added of the French expertise in Singapore and South-East Asia.
The tripartite cooperation that made this trade mission fruitful will go on. Indeed, once the business flows materialize, Bpifrance, Société Générale and Business France will ensure an effective follow-up to assess the sustainability of the planned activities in this dynamic area.
